CURRENT VACANCIES.

1. Graduate Structural Engineer with at least 5 years Post Grad Experience.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Carrying out structural surveys of buildings and structures and providing advice on any issues that may arise, analysing and reporting on structural defects and remediation if required.

Preparation of conceptual and outline designs for structural schemes.

Preparation of detailed design calculations to British Standards, Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes, by hand and computer aided techniques.

Preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications for Tender purposes.

Production of Construction information for issue to Contractors, by hand and computer aided techniques.

Visiting sites during the Construction phase to monitor progress and provide advice to Contractors.

Day-to-day support to colleagues from other disciplines within the office.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English.

Minimum 5 years structural design experience in core materials; Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber.

MIStructE Chartered membership, or working towards.

Placement years, or extensive onsite experience preferable.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideally MEng / MSc qualifications, ideally CEng.

Experience with AutoCAD.

Experience with TEKLA structures/SCIA design software, or similar.


2. Civil Engineering Technician.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Contributing to the successful delivery of projects to clients and work on a variety of projects including: infrastructure, residential, commercial, leisure, master planning and renewable energy.

You will work alone and as part of a team whilst preparing infrastructure designs and co-ordinating these with all project members.

This role will challenge you whilst still allowing you to continuously improve your design and management skills.

You will create designs using PDS and PDS flow, which, is very similar to Microdrainage.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent communication skills due to the high level of internal and external communication associated with this role.

A dynamic working approach.

Good organisation skills in order to prioritise a busy workload.

Knowledge and experience of roads and drainage design.

The ability to use recent versions of of AutoCAD and PDS.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A HND / HNC in Civil Engineering (or Degree qualified) and significant experience in Civil / Infrastructure design.

3. Senior Chartered or Near Chartered Structural Engineer with experience in the following sectors :- Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Care Home Sectors.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Undertaking a wide variety of Civil and Structural projects for residential, commercial, education, health and industrial projects.

Undertake initial concept design of structures and prepare high quality, detailed technical drawings.

Liase with clients, project teams and external consultants and coordinate responses to design team members and Local Authorities.

Provision of engineering reports on existing buildings/structures.

Provision of design reports at various stages for both internal and external use.

Site visits to ensure works are in compliance with design.

Mentor less experienced engineers and technicians within the office.

Attendance at design and construction project meetings.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Demonstrate experience of Structural Engineering and managing the design/delivery of small to medium sized projects would be beneficial.

Experience in the use of industry software ( e.g.TEDDS, Fastrak Building Designer, S-Frame) would be beneficial.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BEng or MEng in Civil Or Structural Engineering.

Chartered with a relevant professional institution ( e.g. ICE or IStructE).
